All Hail September

Godfuckingdamn, I can't wait for September.

For ten years now I've waited to go back to school.

Ten motherfucking years.

A decade.

It's time to give up the pretense of this middle class existence; to give up the pointless struggle to maintain a toe hold in the real world.  Fuck it.  Too much time and talent spent on other people's dreams and fortunes.  What's the point of a new car and a nice condo if you're fucking miserable?

There's nothing like 90 hour work-weeks to teach one the value of slave labor.

Come September I'll have time for art again, time to ponder things other than impossible deadlines and incompetent publishers.  Time to write new music.  Time to sleep.

Yeah, September.

I can hold on that long, right?

Can't I?

..the times they are a changin.
And so my love, we will conquer it all together.

Hell, I have been in 'college' for um,
a long time (PCC 1997-2003/7 years; CalArts 2003-now/4 years).
We will just have to experience all this together now, my love. :)

How does that sound? ;)

PS. Those high end jobs will always be there when you graduate anyway.
Just wait til you have a BFA degree.
You will be more in demand with official paperwork anyhow,
I think. :D
