Tongue web removal. [13 May 2008|01:39pm] bodymods [fallintheblinks] I'm a new member. :] I have a question for anyone who's had their tongue webs cut/removed. I have ankyloglossia (i.e. "tongue-tied") and for the sake of my dental health and personal comfort I'm going to see an oral surgeon later on this year to get a lingual frenectomy. I would go to a local studio to get it done if I could, but piercers in Ohio aren't allowed to operate scalpels from what I've heard. :| What was the healing time like, how was speaking/eating/etc. for the first couple of days/weeks, and what was the after-pain like? Also, I want to get my tongue pierced after the frenectomy -- I've wanted it for a while and since my tongue basically never leaves the bottom of my mouth, I've never been able to consider it. It'd be sort of a triumph for me. I'm not pushing it, though. How long do you think I should wait between the surgery and the piercing? I'm thinking healing time + a couple "just-to-be-safe" months. In a tutorial, I had to, at some point, select the dodge tool, select a soft round brush, and then set the range to midtones and the lighting on 20%. How do I do that? I have CS. Can I just say, ouch? [12 May 2008|07:41pm] xianvox [ mood | all this talk of pain makes me hungry for a sammich ] [ music | Portishead - It Could Be Sweet ] I have a massive bump on my head, a bruised rib, a stabbed arm (someone's spikes maybe??), a huge bruise on my knee down the lower leg, and a nose that hurts to touch (which I thought was broken last night). Fucking pits are too much for me these days. I preferred the pussified circle stomp that we did years ago instead of this harder stuff. I are small body with big nose. Not good combo when you're frog is at everyone else's fist-thrashing level. Owe, owe, owe. Time for more aspirin. ;P On a completely random note, my purchase of a Smith's album finally arrived tonight, just in time for WUMPSKATE. The Very Best Of, no less. All because I got nagged at enough to play something other than, "How Soon Is Now" when someone requested anything by Morrissey (and usually at WUMPSKATE).
